CAMP CITY YEAR CHICAGO 2009: Chicago In The Wild
Camp City Year will take place during Chicago Public School’s Spring Break from April 6 through April 10, 2009 at Foster Park (1440 West 84th Street) in the Auburn-Gresham Community on the south side and Fosco Park (1312 South Racine Avenue) in the Near West Community on the west side.

About Camp City Year:
Each spring, City Year corps members organize and lead Camp City Year, a dynamic day camp that engages children in service learning, educational games and other fun activities. Offered during spring vacation, the camp provides a valuable outlet for many working parents and is geared towards creating a safe, structured and positive learning environment for children while they are on break from school.

This year, Camp City Year invites Chicago’s youth to realize their individual potential and persistence through environmental education, teamwork exercises and exciting games. "Chicago in the Wild" will provide a safe indoor space for students to experience all the adventures and activities that the great outdoors have to offer. Camp City Year participants will take part in a variety of educational and developmental activities, service projects, arts activities and performances, athletics and teamwork! Also, there will be an Eco-Challenge and a Survival Relay among other adventurous games.
