FRIENDS OF CITY YEAR INTERNATIONAL
Friends of City Year International is a dedicated group of individuals united to support and inspire City Year South Africa and citizen service around the world.
Friends of City Year International:
- Support the exchange of best practices between City Year’s U.S. locations and our partners in South Africa
- Participate in international travel delegations and help coordinate and encourage trips to City Year South Africa
- Contribute to the development of City Year’s international strategic direction
- Support the Khazei Global Initiatives Fund to increase City Year’s capacity to support the growing demand for service programs around the world.
CHAIRS
A three year investment of $50,000 per year, for a total gift of $150,000, with $10,000 dedicated annually to the Global Initiatives Fund at City Year.
MEMBERS
A three year investment of $10,000 per year, for a total of $30,000.
Friend of City Year International Membership Benefits
- Family invitations to City Year Compass Trips around the world and to all local City Year events
- Invitation to an annual Members-only event featuring guest speakers
- Opportunities to meet with City Year International staff and service leaders and to host exchanges with global leaders and Clinton Democracy Fellows
- Membership in the City Year Leadership Circle, including an annual appreciation dinner
- Quarterly updates through the Friends of City Year International Newsletter

THE ALAN AMIR ALI KHAZEI GLOBAL FUND AT CITY YEAR
The City Year Board of Trustees has established The Alan Amir Ali Khazei Global Fund at City Year to honor Co-Founder Alan Khazei's extraordinary vision, commitment and leadership. Through the fund, City Year will tap the power of idealism and citizen service to unite people from all races, religions, cultures and ethnicities in building a more just world for all of us.
CITY YEAR INTERNATIONAL
Your support of City Year International will build the organization’s capacity to contribute to the global citizen service movement. Building upon our U.S. and South African experiences, City Year International is reaching out to networks across the globe to understand current and future landscapes for national youth service. City Year International is building partnerships with organizations such as Unis-Cite in France, meeting leaders from across all sectors in the UK and hosting delegations from around the world to exchange ideas and models for youth service.
