On Monday, January 20th volunteers will join City Year's 3,000+ AmeriCorps members at locations across the United States to participate in a day of service. City Year commemorates the Civil Rights Movement and honors the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by celebrating Dr. King's birthday as a "day on, not a day off".

In parternship with Franklin D. Roosevelt Academy, City Year Cleveland has created school beautification service projects of painting, murals and organizing. Together AmeriCorps members and community volunteers from across Cleveland will come together on this day to brighten and beautify in an effort to reconnect, uplift, and inspire the students, staff, and community.

Special this year, students, kindergarten through college, are invited to participate in our first photo exhibit: What Does Service Mean to You?  For more info and to enter, click here.
