BNY Mellon is launching a new partnership with City Year Orlando to support City Year Orlando’s service supporting students in Title I schools. "We are excited for this new sponsorship from BNY Mellon in support of their strategic imperative to invest in education, including STEM education. This imperative aligns with the goals City Year Orlando strives to meet through our service, all day, every day, for the entire school year," Jared Billings, Executive Director and Vice President of City Year Orlando, said. “BNY Mellon's investment is an important component of our work – with a commitment of not only funding, but also employee time and talent.”

The BNY Mellon City Year team helps student reach their goals both personally, and academically through targeted interventions and near-peer mentorship. BNY Mellon's team sponsorship at Jones High will focus on bringing STEM awareness and initiatives to the school campus, including an entire week of STEM-related activities facilitated by BNY Mellon employees this fall. “Our partnership with City Year Orlando demonstrates BNY Mellon’s commitment to economic empowerment and building the next generation’s business and technology skills to contribute to society in a digital world,” said Heidi DuBois, Global Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility at BNY Mellon. “Our colleagues in the region look forward to sharing their skills and expertise with students at Jones High during the upcoming school year.”
