The Power of the Uniform

Our uniform represents unity: unity among our teammates, the site’s corps, with those who have served before us, and will after us. The City Year uniform represents the values we made a pledge to embody: commitment to a service greater than us, belief in the power of ourselves and our students, leadership of the highest quality, empathy and a need to understand, inclusivity and social justice for all, ubuntu: the philosophy we are ourselves through other people, teamwork, and excellence incorporated into all we do.
