On Saturday, April 25, hundreds of volunteers, including City Year Sacramento staff and AmeriCorps members, will gather at Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California (RMHCNC) to participate in the annual Comcast Cares Day.

Comcast Cares Day is an opportunity for company employees to volunteer in communities around the world in large-scale service projects. City Year Sacramento AmeriCorps members had the opportunity to serve alongside Comcast staff at Ethel Phillips Elementary School in Oak Park in 2014.

Comcast is a national leadership sponsor for City Year. Comcast also hosts City Year AmeriCorps members across the country for Comcast Career Day, an opportunity for currently serving corps members to learn about careers in the communications and technology fields.

Comcast is poised to make a huge difference in Sacramento during the service project next Saturday. Volunteers will complete painting, cleaning and beautification projects for the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House.

Comcast Cares Day is an opportunity for community service that City Year—locally and nationally—anticipates each year. It allows City Year Sacramento the unique opportunity to connect with a national sponsor on a local level in our own community.
